Ladies Invitational 2009 in support of the fight against Breast Cancer

What a perfect day was had on September 8th! The course was in great condition, the fairways were lush and the greens were in fantastic shape. The sun was shining, the air was still and friends and acquaintances were socializing and golfing together for a great cause. This is one of the biggest fields in the area and there were ladies from all over the provence. Everyone comes for the fantastic prizes, our famous turkey dinner and this year we had and incredible silent auction and raffle table. Once again everyone went home with something. Metro donated environmentally friendly grocery bags for each participant, The Bay donated free samples of perfume and Golf Trends were generous enough to supply everyone with socks. Camden Braes is thrilled to have raised $2,780.00 for the fight against Breast Cancer in the Kingston area. Thank you to everyone for your support.

A Special Thank you to our volunteers: An extra special thank you to Sharon McClelland who couldn't be here today, but who did the draw and helped to get us organized before she left. This tournament has grown so large that it would not be such a success had it not been for all the members and friends who gave so much into making this day such a wonderful day! Thank you Clare & Doug Perry, Bonnie and Pat King, Marj Thompson, Donna Robinson, Christine Fraser, Kelly Wolfram, Dave Jackson, Mary Lou Stevenson, Bev McNeil, Lynda Mowers, Linda Stevens and Jan Glenn. Also thank you to all the generous donations by members, businesses and friends. Without your help and support this event would not be so successful. A big thank you to the staff at Camden Braes for all of your hard work. You are the people who make this day run smoothly and who feed us such delicious food. Mary makes the best turnip casserole and Brian makes a zesty home made cranberry sauce from scratch. So yummy! Tracy from Pelee Island generously handed out samples of wine which made everyone happy.
