With the wind blowing, and the pins tucked in some tight spots, the 32 nd annual Early Bird Invitational at Camden braes Golf & Country Club was a fine example of just how tough this 6,700 yard layout can play. In a field consisting of many low-handicappers, Scott Herrington of Barcovan blew away the competition, posting an even par round of 72 to win low gross honours by four shots over Bob Morrow of Pine Ridge. Herrington fired a 1 under par 35 on the back nine, through scattered showers, to secure the victory. Morrow's round of 76, which was a net 65, was good enough to take home low net for the field. Dave Casey of Camden Braes conquered the exceptionally quick greens and his score of 77 tied Michael Percel from the Landings, giving both players low gross honours in their respective flights. Several others posted scores in the height 70's making a trip to the illustrious prize table something to brag about. The conditions were tough, the scores were great and the course was looking its best for this memorable annual event.
